Loans are not available in all states. Product availability, loan amounts, and fees vary by state. Lenders are licensed state by state, and this page shows you how to check one for yourself.

Verify a lender in three steps

NMLS Consumer Access is a free public website run by state regulators. It lists licensed financial companies and the states they are licensed in.

  1. Open NMLS Consumer Access

    Go to nmlsconsumeraccess.org.

  2. Search for the company

    Search for the company by its legal name or NMLS ID.

  3. Check your state

    The record lists each state license. Make sure yours is there and shown as active.
